North Charleston town hall held over healthcare (updated)

Updates at the bottom.

On Thursday night, U.S. Rep. Henry Brown's town hall meeting went largely like many other across the U.S.: with hot tensions and lots of misinformation.

The Post and Courier was there and has the report. It's a good read, but will probably get you a tad fired up.

But what was truly interesting and disturbing about the night was when Brown was asked if "Obama was planning to create a national police force," the paper reports that Brown replied that "nothing surprises me coming from this administration."

It's pretty disgusting how folks are allowing fear to grow unkempt. And that dog will likely return to bite them.

Update September 5: If you can't get enough coverage of the night's meeting, then check out Brian Hicks' column at The Post and Courier.
