Despite delays, North Charleston says gambling cruises will happen

Update: They're still waiting.
Back in October expectations of up to a $1 million increase to the city's coffers encouraged North Charleston City Council to OK casino boats to be based from the city's docks.
The plan would see boats leaving several times a day from the city and head out to international waters — but trouble getting financing to bring the boats to North Charleston and set up shop has dealt another round of setbacks to the plan.
However during a press conference Mayor Keith Summey said that the cruises are still going to happen, possibly as early as this winter.
I'll point you over to The Post and Courier for a brief report; read it here.
