Charleston skatepark plan still stuck in red tape limbo

Planning details were announced last October for a $2 million skatepark in downtown Charleston, but the plan has been stalled as federal and state approval is sought to be built on the city-owned land that resides underneath the elevated portions of underneath I-26 and Highway 17 — and a recent meeting hasn't helped excellerate plans.

The gist? Expect many more days to pass before you hear about detailed designs or construction dates for the much-sough skate park.
