A $315 million wish-list for North Charleston
Included as part of Charleston Mayor Joe Riley's $1 billion package, was some $300 million from North Charleston's Mayor Keith Summey.
The Post and Courier has a rundown on what's on it and why -- and a bit on the minor controversy.
Here's a few highlights from the list. Keep in mind the list isn't a formal request for funding, but more of a "look what we could do if we had cash."
- $100M for light commuter rail from Charleston to Summerville.
- $50M Streets
- $40M Infrastructure work for old navy base.
- $38M New city hall.
- A few million for drainage.
- And more.
