Alvin Greene is back, running for vacant House seat (update: receives only 36 votes)

Update February 16: The unofficial results from Tuesday's Democratic primary show that Alvin Greene picked up an underwhelming 36 votes, or less than 1 percent of the ballots cast.

First reporting: Alvin Greene is at it again.

Greene, the controversial S.C. Democrat who ran for U.S. Senate, proposed making action figures of himself would help create jobs and was denied an honorable discharge from the Air Force is now running for for the House seat left vacant by the death of Summerton Democrat Rep. Cathy Harvin.

The Post and Courier has the news which broke on Christmas Eve when Greene paid the $165 filing fee to run in this special election.
