How will South Carolina repay its $800 million federal debt?

The state of South Carolina has borrowed over $800 million from the federal government since 2008 and is currently struggling to find a viable way to pay it back.

And by struggling, The Post and Courier reports that the state has no clue how they'll come up with the money at this point. Many are holding out on the hope that the federal government will forgive the loans.

The Post and Courier's article examines the payback option as well as the slight glimmer of hope of government forgiveness.
