From U.S. Rep. Clyburn as a Cabinet post, to former Governor Jim Hodges working with environment or education, there's a ton of possibilities floating for South Carolina's politicians in Obama's administration.

The most promising possibilities of the lot? Mignon Clyburn (the daughter of U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn) as head of the Federal Communications Commission, and Robert Gibbs as White House press secretary.

Go get a primer on the possibilities over at The State.

Any of these folks getting a job would likely benefit South Carolina greatly. Still, given the close ties of U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham and McCain, and our state's pro-Republican stance we would have gotten far more pics with McCain in office.

But it's not all doom-and-gloom for S.C.'s Republicans, U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina is pushing for a seat on the powerful Finance Committee.

The opportunity to gain power means we'll loose a number of South Carolinian's in power under the Bush administration.

Go read more about that at Greenville Online.
