Just nine months after a federal judge barred South Carolina's Christian license plate program from producing "I Believe" plates, Attorney General Henry McMaster is claiming a similar plate designed by a nonprofit group is legal.

The new plate features a golden sunrise and three crosses symbolizing the site where Jesus was crucified. The text along to top of the plate reads, "www.IBELIEVEsc.net."

The plate is currently under review at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

The Post and Courier picked up the wire story which you can read here.
