File it under unexpected, but even our U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R) is pushing Gov. Mark Sanford to stop threatening to say no and take the $700 million in stimulus even if he can't use it to pay down debt.

And if you want to see our state not refuse that cash, you should be glad Graham is helping to change the gov's mind, as Sanford may have the final word.

I really have to wonder if Sanford would flat out refuse the money, given that all taxpayers are still on the hook to pay it back.

Update March 19, 11 a.m.: A survey says only 37% of South Carolinians support rejecting stimulus money.
