Over 2,000 attendees descending on Charleston for the Southern Legislative Conference

This Saturday, about 2,000 politicians and guests from 15 Southern states are heading to Charleston for 64th annual Southern Legislative Conference.

The Southern Legislative Conference, which runs from July 31st through August 4th, is a place for Southern politicians to discuss rural and economic development, strengthening education and providing public safety, among other topics as well as a platform for highlighting South Carolina people and places.

The conference attendees are also expected to bring with them an estimated $3.5 million economic impact.
