According to attorney and former county councilman Curtis Bostic, the Charleston County government has been collecting thousands in overpaid taxes after issuing multiple bills for the same properties.

Bostic will be representing the plaintiff in a civil suit againt Charleston County. Bostic reports hearing of the issue from another lawyer and has since found nearly 600 instances of what he calls "double billing".
