Developer postpones request to remove grand trees

The developer of Angel Oak Village has delayed his request to be allowed to remove 34 grand trees from the Johns Island site.

The request was to be heard Wednesday (August 6) by the City of Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals.

The removal of the grand trees has been quite controversial, especially given the development's close proximity to the Angel Oak.

The development would contain 600 multi-family homes on 42 acres.

The Post and Courier has more on the delay and the development.
