On Friday, June 1st GoCCUSports.com posted:

The Big South Conference Council of Chief Executive Officers voted today to award the 2013-15 Big South Men's and Women's Basketball Championships to Myrtle Beach/Coastal Carolina University.  The combined tournaments will be held in Coastal's new on-campus Student Recreation and Convocation Center.

"We received four excellent bids to host our Basketball Championships," said Big South Commissioner Kyle B. Kallander.  "This was not an easy decision for the CEOs.  Ultimately they chose the bid from Myrtle Beach/Coastal Carolina, and we are looking forward to taking our marquee event to the Grand Strand for the next three years.  We are also very appreciative of all the bids and interest we received."

The other three bidders were Asheville/UNC Asheville, Rock Hill/Winthrop University and Winston-Salem, N.C.
