Lonely Planet, one of the most popular and largest travel guides in the world, has named the Holy City as one of the top destinations in visit for the year 2010.

Out of all the cities in the world, good old (well, not so old for this list's standards) Charleston has history, beauty, accomodations and a charm that cannot be paralleled.

You can read the city descriptions and ranks over here.

The Post and Courier has a pinch of reporting on the matter.
