I-26 east near Harleyville shutdown; now reopen

A series of accidents near mile 179 of Interstate 26 eastbound has shut down the road and traffic is being rerouted.

At 1:20 p.m., the South Carolina Highway Patrol had three accidents listed near mile marker 179, two involved injuries.

It's believed that one accident stalled traffic and another blocked traffic all together.

Update 6 p.m.: NBC News 2 reports that the road is reopen and has a photo of one of the collisions. They also have details on the flip of a Dpartment of Corrections vehicle, the collision of a truck and a tanker, a tractor trailer the flipped, and the collision of two mobile homes.
