Thanksgiving flights risk redirection, delays at Charleston thanks to runway work

Remember all that talk about the how the longer of Charleston's two runways would be closed for runway repairs?
Well the big work is still slated for 2012 or 2013, but a smaller job is closing it now through December 15 and that means all flights will have to use the shorter and less sophisticated second runway -- and should clouds get too low, flights will be delayed, canceled, or re-routed.
Read about what's up at The Post and Courier.
Keep your finger crossed for sunshine as the Thanksgiving flights ramp up.
