Coastal Uncorked Granted Financial Extension

A number of area media sources were waiting for May 15, the date when Coastal Uncorked, a Myrtle Beach week-long nonprofit food and wine festival with hundreds of thousands of dollars of public money funding, was scheduled to file its 2010 financial information. However, that isn't happening by the deadline.

Many Myrtle Beach area citizens have criticized Coastal Uncorked for its budget that is heavy on taxpayer funding, light on donations and attracts an insignificant number of out-of-town visitors.
