Coastal Uncorked granted non-profit status

Despite Uncorked's official status, donations are not tax deductible.

Late yesterday, the breaking news in the afternoon surrounded Myrtle Beach's Coastal Uncorked festival and this time it wasn't news of an event or of some of the questions surrounding their funding.

Coastal Uncorked organizers received a letter from the IRS yesterday granting them their long sought non-profit status. According to the Secretary of State and now the IRS Coastal Uncorked is a non-profit in good standing.

Coastal Uncorked will take place May 8-15th and will include many events all over the city and appearances by Charleston's Lee Brothers and Food Network's Paula Deen.
