The Post and Courier has produced their own piece profiling the Charleston County Sheriff's Office bomb squad that goes deeper into their world and answers the questions of how they are trained and what it takes to do the job.

The Charleston team is made up of 11 men who are part of an elite network of bomb technicians that don 85 pound bomb-suits, command bomb-diffusing robots, and utilize disrupters that can shoot anything from bullets to water.
