I-526 plugged after 18 wheeler crashes; Update: driver's name released

Some lanes of Interstate 526 westbound in West Ashley were closed for several hours after the driver of an 18 wheeler collided with the railing of the William C. Westmoreland Bridge around 3 p.m.

The driver of the truck died, and the bridge was reopened to traffic around 5:20 p.m.

No word yet on the cause or the driver's name.

Update 10:38 p.m.: ABC News 4 is reporting the killed driver of the truck was Kenneth Hunter, 46, of Johns Island.
