Invalid parking tickets in Myrtle Beach caused by technology glitch

Myrtle Beach Area Redevelopment Corporation has contracted with Parkmobile to offer an alternative payment option for the parking meters in the city limits. Instead of sticking coins in the meter, the driver calls a toll free number and keys in their credit card along with the number of the space they're parked in. Which sounds great and convenient unless the parking enforcement officers can't download the data that tells them who has and has not paid for their parking space.
