Morris Island Lighthouse gets $2M to stabilize deteriorating foundation
Image by Flickr user tedkerwin Already in place around the lighthouse is a metal cofferdam that is shielding the structure from waves.
The Morris Island Lighthouse is finally getting about $1.9 million for replacing the currently deteriorating wooden the 1876 structure stands.
