Myrtle Beach could see a heat index of 110+ (update: second verse...)
Update July 23rd: ...Same as the first.
The Sun News has some coverage on the drought situation. Read that here.
First Report: It's going to be hot today. Big old no-brainer on that one huh.
But to make it official, the National Weather Sevice has issued a excessive heat warning for the area, and it will remain in effect until 8 p.m. We're looking at seeing a heat index around 110. Check out the advisory here.
There's no relief in the forecast this weekend.
The good news? Mosquitoes aren't fans of this hot, dry weather. As a result, a nice chunk of change was saved when the aerial mosquito sprays for Socastee and Forestbrook were postponed this week. The Sun News has the details. However, I don't think it's going to be less than my power bill this month.
