No need for Charleston to fear hurricanes Igor or Julia, for now

There are and will continue to be a lot of headlines for the next several about the power and strength of hurricanes Igor and Julia, but if you're staying but in the Lowcountry, don't fret.

Both storms (while still far out and anything can change) are on paths that take them well outside of the lanes needed to arrive at Charleston's door.

Igor is currently aiming to wallop Bermuda and Julia looks to head to the sharp northwest on a path that would cause much weakening as it encounters wind shear from Igor.

In a nutshell: Someone else will be sweating out these storms, not us.

As of this writing Igor is a category 4 and Julia a category 1 hurricane.
