S.C. school chief pleads to let schools tighten belts
Today, S.C. Superintendent Jim Rex asked S.C. Senators to push through a measure that will allow our public K-12 schools to increase class sizes, do less testing, and allow for unpaid leave of teaching staff.
The reason? More than $350 million in cuts to school funding from the state.
Sometimes budget cuts don't really help anyone.
