South Carolina math scores are below national average

Math scores from the 2009 National Assessment of Educational Progress were released yesterday, and it shows that South Carolina students' test scores are down slightly from two years ago.

The test was administered to fourth and eighth graders, and this year both grades scored a few points below the national average.
