South Carolina's SAT scores fall for second straight year

The College Board released the 2010 college-bound senior results and the average SAT scores for public and private high school seniors' in the state have fallen for the second consecutive year.
Private and home schoolers test scores fell five points to 1,447, while public school scores fell two points to 1,443. Both scores are well below the national average for all students, 1,509.
On a positive note, however, South Carolina did have a 5.3 percent increase in the number of students taking the exam.
