The City of North Charleston’s Cultural Arts Department is pleased to offer a wonderful holiday Children’s Theatre performance at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center from 10:00-11:00am on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, featuring The Brave Tin Soldier performed by Atlantic Coast Theatre for Youth. The program is appropriate for all ages, but best suited for grades K-5. Schools, daycares, community groups, families, and individuals are welcome to attend. Tickets are $2 per child with accompanying adults admitted at no charge. Parking is free.

Atlantic Coast Theatre for Youth brings the toy room to life in their adaptation of this classic Hans Christian Andersen tale.   A toy soldier with a damaged leg falls in love with a music box ballerina.  He must overcome his limitations to save her from the Evil Renegade Rat, who wants her as his bride.  This original "toy story" is perfect for the holidays. Creatively adapted for children grades K-5, this production is a winter adventure sure to captivate audiences of all ages.

Husband and wife team, Don & Noel Gruel founded Atlantic Coast Theatre for Youth in the summer of 1995.
