North Myrtle Beach church gets Jar'd

Every Christmas season Barefoot Church, a nondenominational church located on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach, has a unique way of spreading their message and celebrating the season.

Last year, the Church did a "Pay it Forward" style of spreading holiday cheer where members would approach strangers handing them cards with seasons greetings, some cards had a $5 bill that came with them (thanks by the way). This year Barefoot Church is continuing their unique message spreading by encouraging folks to Get Jar'd.

This Christmas you can share that feeling by giving. Barefoot Church invites you to join thousands of others in a movement to spread Christmas cheer through You Got JAR'd.

What is getting Jar'd? It's simple really, someone takes an old mason jar and puts a nice treat inside for a friend, neighbor or passerby. The treat can be anything that'll fit in the jar, examples they provide are: movie passes, popcorn (unpopped or popped), candy, money or coupons. Barefoot Church gives a few more ideas right Here

To help spread their Jar'd incentive they ventured out to the Myrtle Beach Mall on Black Friday and performed a flashmob invasion, dancing to a Justin Bieber Christmas tune. You can watch that video below.

Make sure to hop on over to You Got Jar'd and download your Jar'd instructions and watch their video on how to Get Jar'd.
