Improvements coming to North Myrtle Beach Farmers Market

The City of North Myrtle Beach is adding two new metal-roofed open-air structures and a restroom facility on the site of the city's Farmers Market on 1st Avenue South in North Myrtle Beach near the North Myrtle Beach Library. Work is scheduled to be completed by the market's opening day.

The $113,000 project will add 4,200 square feet of covered space, providing vendors and customers with relief from the sun and protection from inclement weather during market operations. Additional site features will include colorful shade sails connecting the two structures.

The market opens on May 25, 2012 and runs to fall.  Hours are Tuesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

During times when the market is not open, the new facilities may eventually be made available for rental for reunions, picnics and other types of events.
