Colbert sums up debate over Obama poster

There's been a whole lot said over Shepard Fairey's alleged copy right infringement of an AP photograph when creating his iconic poster of Barack Obama, but I haven't found any of them quite as succinct as this piece on The Colbert Report -- watch the embedded video above.
The controversial work. Read more stories on this subject in our Shepard Fairey topic page. The issue is a lot more complex than what you'll here there, for sure, but the Colbert piece is a good primer.
You can get connected with some deeper issues over at Wikipedia.
Oh, and it's worth pointing out that Colbert and Fairey are both Charleston natives.
Thanks to The Charleston City Paper for tipping us off.
