The record lows for tomorrow are 19 at the airport and 28 at downtown Charleston, and it's entirely possible that we could hit one or both.

Charleston Weather has a few more details and mentions that the cold temps could be here to stay for a bit; read it here.

As of 7:30 p.m. the National Weather Service was forecasting a low of about 28 in downtown Charleston and James Island, 22 in Mount Pleasant, and 20 in North Charleston. All highs are expected to be in the low 40s. Here's the full forecast.

As for later in the week, the service writes: "We are looking at another shot of cold weather with the second [wave] to get here late in the week. It's what happens

with the arrival of that polar trough and its associated cold front Thursday night and/or Friday that we are most concerned about.

And with those low temps sticking around they're still watching for the possibility of some wintry precipitation.

Bundle up, cover the plants, drip the pipes, and keep an eye on the space heaters -- oh, and check back with TheDigitel for all that is good in Charleston.
