An e-mail tipster tells us that a holiday promotion by local art-Mecca Redux ran afoul when a gift box left at the downtown Harris Teeter Saturday afternoon lead to the police being called over bomb fear.

You might think Harris Teeter has a healthy case of paranoia, but I think they're just plugging the slogan "It's better to give than to receive" to promote holiday sales.
