NOAA denies existence of mermaids

Living on the ocean, we inadvertently become experts at our deep blue neighbor. Most can explain rip currents, know when the surf will be bad due to storms 500 miles away and know the most important answer tourist have for us, "Which way is the ocean?"

One topic we might not know much about is mermaids, sure we have manatee sightings (the animal that may have inspired the legend of the mermaid) but I have not been able to find any local news reports about "real life mermaid sightings in Myrtle Beach." However, the question of them being 'really real' never came to my mind until the the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) denied their existence recently.

No evidence of aquatic humanoids has ever been found.

Now, some may scoff and say, "Of course mermaids aren't real," well, scoff all you want my friends, but ever since the Center of Disease Control (CDC) released a Zombie Survival Guide last year there has been a rise in Zombie-like attacks across the country and the CDC has recently denied the existence of Zombies in light of those attacks. Coincidence?

The question is why is government agencies getting in on the denial of mythical and or horror creatures all of the sudden? Next they'll be telling us Bigfoot is a lie. Thankfully there is a school in Alabama teaching the truth about the existence of the Loch Ness Monster.

Conspiracy theorists have at it!
