NBC News 2 opines on the message of the Tea Party

I'm not usually a fan of local editorials about national topics, but the video/text editorial by NBC News 2's General Manger, Rick Lipps, on the Tea Party rallies in Charleston was quite well reasoned -- at least in my humble opinion.

Go get it here.

In part, Lipps argues that whatever coherent message the movement might have gets lost in the fringe noise that comes with it. My simple observation about his is that to eliminate that noise would require the largely decentralized group to organize.

And that's something that could kill the movement or, as Lipps gets at, take it to new heights.
