Does your pup love Charleston parks?

If so, know that the Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission is looking for a Top Dog that will serve as the official mascot of its parks.

The furry ambassador will function as the spokesdog for our dog parks and canine-related events. All entries must be received by February 1, 2011.

If you'd like to enter you and your dog need to regularly visit at least one of their three area dog parks, possess good manners in public, be sociable, patient, and friendly, be available to represent CCPRC for one year (April 2011-April 2012), to include appearances at select county-wide events and photo opportunities, show record of up-to-date vaccinations.

For that (and being so lovable) you'll get one annual Gold Pass, official mascot collar and leash, photo on the cover of The Quarterly, feature article and photo in the Leisure Line newsletter and on our website, and photo on dog treat packaging sold in Dolittle's stores.

The runner-up will receive, will get one annual Gold Pass and a photo in the Leisure Line newsletter and on our website.
