Winter weather pokes upstate, leaves Lowcountry just plain old soggy

If you're on the Lowcountry's roads this morning, you'd be wise to watch for icy patches (particularly on bridges) but the storm really hit South Carolina above the midlands.

The State has a photo gallery of folks enjoying and coping with a flurry of white winter fun. Still, this morning that fun in the upstate has been replaced with dangerous driving conditions.

And though the storm that brought these chilly and wet conditions has moved on, we're stuck with chilly weather for the rest of today (hi: 45, low: 26) but warm back up a bit on Monday (hi: 55, low: 43.)
