If you love beer tastings, now's the time to show support

A bill that would finally legalize beer tastings in South Carolina, up for a unanimous consent vote yesterday, was foiled by one vote fromĀ Rep. Kenneth Kennedy from Williamsburg County.

The South Carolina Brewers Association wants craft beer to be awarded the same treatment as wine for the purposes of commerce, small business growth, and tax revenue.

The South Carolina Brewers Association has sent out a call to action to all South Carolina brewers to 'educate' Kennedy by sending him e-mails and contacting his office in support of the tasting bill.

The stalled bill is in the S.C. House, the Senate version of the bill is still moving.
