S.C. Transportation Secretary's battle with cancer

South Carolina Transportation Secretary, Buck Limehouse Jr., who has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, told The Post and Courier that he has, "talked to probably 50 people" in seeking advice during these early stages of his diagnosis. Limehouse also said, "It is my intention to finish my term."

 

The 71-year-old says he offered to resign, but that the governor asked him to continue working if it was possilbe. Limehouse's term as secretary ends in 2010.
