With a final term for Mayor Joe Riley, what will come after?

While it's a near certainty that the 10th term for Charleston Mayor Joe Riley will be his final, such facts raise a multitude of questions, like what will come after?
And that's an iceberg that will take the next four year term and then some to asses, but The Post and Courier has taken a first stab.
In part, "And there could be many other potential candidates who no one is mentioning now. Even when Riley was on the ballot recently, the race has attracted several long shots who got a percent or two of the votes. While Riley said he won't handpick a candidate for 2015, he won't necessarily remain on the sidelines."
As for what Riley has meant to Charleston and the state, that's already been explored a bit, too.
