Dorchester County's new budget may put the squeeze on employees

Following an all-to-popular trend, Dorchester County's proposed new budget will turn to furloughs to make ends meet, according to The Post and Courier.

You can have a look at the budget for yourself at two public hearings of 2009-10 budget:

- Monday, May 18, at 5 p.m. in the county council chambers at the dorchester county services building located at 500 North Main Street in Summerville.

- Tuesday, May 26, at 5 p.m. in the county council chambers at the Knneth F. Waggoner Services Center, located at 201 Johnston Street in St. George.

Meanwhile The Summerville Journal Scene says the county may put the budget up online for public review.
