Over the next five days, The Post and Courier will be profiling each of the five candidates hoping to become the next mayor of the town of James Island. First up is Jonathan Brown, vice president of eBusiness for ICF International.

Brown, an executive in a management, technology and policy consulting firm based in Fairfax, Virginia, "has managed a multimillion-dollar budget, grown ICF International's local presence by 400 percent, and was named vice president at the age of 33."

With the help of a newly developed website, Brown says he would create a more efficient, responsive and transparent government by posting all budget and proposals online. He also opposes allowing I-526 to cut through the town and wants to uphold and highlight the community's distinct identity.

To learn more about Brown and his ideas for creating a better James Island, check out The Post and Courier's post.
