Sanford fighting to stop ethics investigation from reaching lawmakers' desks (updated)

In another effort to fight his removal from office, Governor Mark Sanford has requested the South Carolina Supreme Court to block a state ethics panel from releasing the initial findings from their investigation.

Update November 3:

After two weeks of legal back and forth, the S.C. Supreme Court is now set to decide whether or not the Ethics Commission can turn over the results of its investigation to lawmakers considering impeaching Sanford.

The State reports that all parties involved expect a decision this week.
