COASTAL VASCULAR & VEIN CENTER OPENS FIRST ENDOVASCULAR OUTPATIENT CENTER IN CHARLESTON

CHARLESTON, SC -- Coastal Vascular &Vein Center -- http://www.coastalvvc.com --  (CVVC) in Charleston has expanded its footprint by over 6,000 square feet of space to offer patients a wide range of diagnostic and interventional endovascular procedures.

The practice’s three surgeons – Edward C. Morrison, MD, Adam J. Keefer, MD and Thomas C. Appleby, MD – are all Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery in vascular surgery.

The expansion adds two state-of-the-art endovascular suites as well as two new vein treatment rooms. The Center has added high resolution diagnostic x-ray imaging equipment, which allows surgeons the flexibility to perform numerous kinds of procedures, including access for dialysis, leg stenting for peripheral arterial disease, and long-term IV access.

Two new spa-like treatment rooms for varicose veins have been added, where treatments typically take less than an hour.

The Center will host a Varicose Vein screening on February 28 from 3 to 7 p.m. Reserve a screening time by calling 843 577 4551.

The expansion allows ambulatory patients to consult with their physicians in a convenient and stress-free environment.  Prior to the expansion, serious cases involving arterial treatments required hospital care.  Now these treatments can be performed in a leading edge physician office setting.

The Center is also now uniquely positioned to help treat a full range of vascular and other vein issues that impair quality of life. With more than 30 staff members, and additional facilities in Walterboro and North Charleston, CVVC is the only practice of its kind in the region.
