The College of Charleston baseball team has been chosen as the preseason favorite to win the Southern Conference baseball championship in 2011 as selected by the league’s coaches and media.

To add icing to the cake, the College of Charleston's outfielder Cole Rakar, a senior from Wando High School, has been selected as the 2011 Southern Conference Preseason Player of the Year. 

With six starting position players back from last year's 44-19 team and one stellar student athlete, the 2011 season is looking bright for the Cougars.
