Finding traditional and nontraditional funding sources for small businesses

The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce will host a small business series which will fuel the small business owner on the road to success.  The second Road to Success Series Fuel Stop will be Wednesday, October 26 from 7:30 – 9 a.m. at Mellow Mushroom Avondale and discuss traditional and nontraditional funding sources for small businesses.

Mark Knight, vice president, branch executive of Southcoast Bank, will explain what funders are looking for and give tips on how to "tell your story" when talking to a funder.

Breakfast will be provided during the first half-hour, allowing time for building relationships and generating business leads. The following hour will include the program along with a question and answer period that with a small business problem-solving exercise.
