High Cotton and Westbrook Brewing Pair up for Beer Lunch

High Cotton is “blending” the refreshing brews from local brewery, Westbrook and the delicious dishes from Executive Chef Joe Palma for a Beer Lunch to remember, Saturday, February 2 at 12 pm at High Cotton, 199 East Bay Street.

This will be Executive Chef Joe Palma’s first pairing lunch at High Cotton and not one to be missed. Palma will blend his mouth watering Lowcountry fare with the distinctive flavors of the brews to create three amazing courses. The menu includes shrimp ceviche, arugula salad with apples, hazelnuts and fig preserves, smoked duck confit bahn mi and ginger panna cotta.

Founder/CEO and Brewer Edward Westbrook along with Casey Lee of Advintage Distributors will be on-hand to provide in depth information about the brews featured, the brewing process and any questions guests may have.

Westbrook Brewing Company just celebrated its second anniversary and shows no signs of slowing down. Their mission is to make the most interesting, drinkable and generally awesome beer possible and we think they are doing just that! High Cotton regularly has a Westbrook on draft- currently the India Pale Ale IPA- and really enjoys the flavors, styles and brewing techniques used in all their brews.

The lunch is $35 per person plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made calling 843-724-3815. To see the full menu visit http://www.mavericksouthernkitchens.com/highcotton/charleston/news/event.html?id=130.
