Brittany Short, a recent recovery graduate who attended community celebration back in May says, “For me, it was an introduction to seeing firsthand the churches and individuals who support Street Reach. There were people who came off the streets to eat, dance, and get prayed over. It was a very welcoming atmosphere and the food was really good. I didn’t feel like people were looking down on me or thought they were better than me. Really made me feel more relaxed about the recovery journey I was about to take.”
Street Reach has 3 programs currently in place to serve the homeless and the poor in Horry County. They serve about 200 individuals everyday through emergency services, addiction recovery, and temporary housing for the working poor.
