Charleston, S.C.  –  The Charleston fashion scene has yielded more than a few notable emerging designers in the past few years, but none quite like the young and polished Gilly Lynn brand.  Gilly Lynn is releasing news this week that it is opening its doors to its brand new online shopping website, stocked with items ranging from handmade necklaces and accessories to vintage jewelry.

Founded only recently in December of 2010, Gilly Lynn LLC is the brainchild of local fashionista Amanda N. Gill.  Amanda had established an identity within Charleston's fashion network within weeks of moving to the region and has been featured in a number of runway shows in the area – the most recent of which being the Sale Soiree at the Memminger Auditorium in Downtown Charleston.  The event was held last month to benefit People Against Rape (PAR) and Gilly Lynn accessories were featured to compliment the work of another emerging Charleston duo, Tisdale + Verona.

The driven designer behind the company had her own personal success before the creation of Gilly Lynn, but has decided to focus her attention toward expanding her line to encompass the likes of every modern, fashionable woman.

Gilly Lynn embodies all elements of style, sophistication, and femininity.  Gilly Lynn embraces the adventure of accessorizing the fashionable woman with a combination of design and an irresistible selection of vintage jewelry.  The signature knotty necklaces are constructed with recycled fabrics and handcrafted beads ensuring a one-of-a-kind product.  A combination of hand-dyed wooden beads and intricately designed poly-clay beads compliment the fabrics beautifully and are produced exclusively for Gilly Lynn.

With an understanding of social responsibility, Amanda strives to stay Green by using an array of recycled materials, “You don't always have to wear new things to be fashionable.  Instead, sometimes it's better to reinvent vintage materials to create a truly unique style.”

You can find the new store, information about the Gilly Lynn brand, and contact the designer at Gilly Lynn's website: GillyLynn.com or follow Amanda on her style blog at AllGussiedUp.com.  This is one designer that you will definitely be seeing more of in the future.
