Local Real Estate Association Hosts Market Update August 2

The Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS® (CTAR) and Charleston Multiple Listing Service (MLS) will host the Midyear Residential Real Estate Market Update on August 2 from 3-4:30 pm at the Charleston Marriott, downtown. 

Dr. Joseph Von Nessen, research economist with the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina will give an overview of activity in the first six months of 2011 and discuss significant developments and trends in our market.  Charleston County’s Master-In-Equity, Judge Mikell Scarborough will share an update on the movement in the Charleston distressed property market and the effects of the SC Supreme Court ruling on processing foreclosures. Mikell Richards, President of the Mortgage Lenders Association of Greater Charleston, will share information about lending trends and the status of the mortgage market in Charleston.
